Planning granted for food waste facility

We are pleased to announce that the planning application for a food waste anaerobic digestion treatment at Thames Water’s Banbury sewage treatment works has been approved by Oxfordshire County Council.

EcoGenR8, a developer of organic waste and renewable energy projects,  is continuing to work with Thames Water, who are taking forward the development, to develop the Environmental Permit application and technical aspects of the project.

The facility will use the proven anaerobic digestion technology to treat food waste and will produce enough renewable electricity to power up to 3,900 homes in the area.  Further details are available in the projects section of the EcoGenR8 website.
